For the past five seasons, the Town of Amherst Leisure Services in conjunction with Amherst College head coach EJ Mills, Amherst College Football coaching staff and Amherst Youth Football volunteers have run an instructional program to teach the game of non-contact flag football to boys and girls of all abilities in grades 1-6. In his 18 year tenure at Amherst, Coach Mills has been named the Division II/III New England Head Coach of the Year by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston, the NESCAC Coach of the Year and the American Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year. In the past five seasons Coach Mills has compiled an impressive record of 35-5! Come learn and develop the necessary skills and concepts of basic football in a safe and fun environment!
